The story
Willingboro's planning board has approved a plan for 129 for-sale townhomes on 12.4 acres at 4284 Route 130, part of the former Burlington County Times newspaper headquarters property. The board voted on August 10 and put its decision in writing with a resolution on September 14.
The developer, Willingboro Townhomes AMS DEV LLC of Fort Lee, received the board's approval to divide the property into lots and to lay out the buildings and parking. The township adopted a redevelopment plan for the property in July.
The approved plan calls for 18 three-story buildings with garages and a pair of two-story buildings designed for accessibility. Each townhome will have three bedrooms and sit on a 61-foot lot. The deeds on seven of the two-story homes will keep them as affordable housing. The rest will be sold at market prices.
The plan includes 316 parking spaces across surface lots, garages and driveways. Some trees will come down, and 170 new trees are planned.
