Marlton · hearing September 17 6 homes PROPOSED ON THE OLD SWIM CLUB SITE

What was reported

  • A preliminary and final major subdivision is proposed at 100 Lakeside Drive in Marlton, for six new single family homes on a site the agenda lists as a vacated swim club
  • A second application on the same agenda would create three new lots and two homes at 570 Elmwood Road North, in the low density zone
  • Neither had been heard when this was written. Both were carried to the Planning Board's September 17 meeting, and an agenda schedules a hearing rather than deciding anything

The story

A vacated swim club in Marlton is proposed to become six single family homes. The application, filed as P25-09 at 100 Lakeside Drive, asks Evesham Township's Planning Board for preliminary and final major subdivision approval. The agenda lists the present use of the site as a vacated swim club and the proposed use as single family residential, and it sits in the township's Regional Growth zone at Barton Run.

A second residential application was on the same list. At 570 Elmwood Road North, in the low density zone, an applicant is asking for a minor subdivision, a minor site plan and bulk variances that together would create three new lots and two homes. The two applications are separate and their numbers do not combine.

Neither had been heard when this was written. Both hearings were pushed to the board's September 17 meeting, and the Lakeside Drive plan needs new public notice first. No vote, written decision or board action appeared in the records we read for either.

For anyone living near either site, September 17 was the date set for a public discussion. Nothing about who would build, what the homes would cost, or when work might start is on the record at this stage.

An agenda schedules a hearing and is not an approval. Neither application had been heard when this was written; both were carried to September 17. Written by Justin Kelly, NJ Real Estate Broker-Salesperson, from the Evesham Township Planning Board agenda.
